ARTIST STATEMENT
Sculpture grows from life experience and new sculptures seem to be tumbling out of my mind more this year then ever before. My new ceramic work is vigorous, rich with texture and driven by full color images from my mind.

For over a decade, I have happily had my hands in clay and metal. I've also had the good fortune to be surrounded by many talented teachers from Northern California. Susannah Israel, Mark Messenger, Hopi Breton, Gayle Jessi and Jeff Johnson, to name a few. Dear friends that continue to support and inspire me are Rosalinda Grejsen, and Melina Markarian. Thanks, Michael Grejsen for the new photos. Other great artists that move me forward: Clayton Bailey, Betty Bailey. Jeff Downing, Lisa Clague, Richard Shaw and Esther Shimazu.
